●Have的一个基本含义是“有”，这个最容易掌握。女孩找男朋友会要要求对方要有自己的住房“have a house”，最起码也得有辆车“have a car”。有了车最头痛的是两件事：堵车“have a traffic jam”和停车“have a place to park the car”。
●在独生子女“have one child in family”的时代，有兄弟姐妹“have brothers or sisters”，对孩子来说是件幸福的事。寂寞孤单的人很多，养只小狗“have a dog”做伴吧。如果狗粪遍地，这就是个头痛的问题。说到头痛，“have”正好可以表达身体不适或生病的含义。如头痛“have a headache”，流鼻涕“have a running nose”，感冒“have a cold”，发烧“have a fever”。但生病吃药不能用“have”。日常生活里的吃、喝离不开这个词。比如，吃早餐“have breakfast”，喝杯咖啡“have a cup of coffee”或水果汁“have a glass of fruit juice”。“have”还可以表达“吸”的含义，如吸烟“have a smoke”。当然，这对身体危害极大，你必须戒掉这个坏习惯“have to give up smoking”。
